Quite a lot has been going on behind the scenes at the railway with a lot of development work on capital projects being carried out. The major news for us is the launch of our new website which can be found here;

After many years of hard work permission has finally been granted by our landlords, Telford & Wrekin Council, allowing us to run passenger trains north to Lawley common from Easter 2015. The same approval that allows us to open to Lawley has the added benefit of also allowing us to run trains south to Doseley Halt. Once trains are running to Lawley we can concentrate efforts southwards. The scale of this news shouldn’t be under-estimated and is a major turning point in the history of the railway. This is the springboard for our long held ambition of returning trains to Ironbridge. Much remains to be done and we still need volunteers, existing and new, as well as money and materials. If you feel that you can help, either by volunteering or making a cash donation then please do not hesitate. Please keep checking back for further updates.
Those are ace mate. With your permission can I use them for our website for when we have finished the history of the line pages?

A very good day today at the Telford Steam Railway on our monthly diesel day which was bordering on busy. The weather was glorious, plenty of people in attendance with everyone having a good time. Even managed a double headed service which was a novelty. The shop and cafe did a brisk trade and lots of interest was shown by potential new members. So a big thumbs up to everyone who attended today to make it a success. it was great to see a couple of the Blue Brigade minions turn up and Rob & Steve seemed to have a good time. Here are some definitely not blue loco's

Had a good couple of hours yesterday.
Looks to be a very nice railway building up there. A big thanks to the Colonel and Mark.

I've just been trying to get to grips with the location of the line and its proposed extensions. In keeping with many other lines I couldn't get much any detail from the official TSR website, so I did a bit of googling and found much detailed information on wikipedia
Looks a very worthy project, set as it is in such a historic valley.
I remember my first visit to Ironbridge and seeing the G2 0-8-0 sitting neglected at the loading dock. But I cannot work out if the TSR will be using this section of track running through the museum - can you enlighten me please?
I also read (on wiki's TSR page) about the restoration in the hands of THST of 5619 which has been playing away from home - where is it at present? Will it be returning as soon as you have enough length of run to keep it exercised?

I've asked for more details on the Ruston as I don't know too much about it.
The website is still a work in progress at the minute as it was felt that a web presence of any kind was more important than a fully finished one. Once the track goes south and reaches Lightmoor Junction then we'll follow the Network Rail line all the way to the power station site where the line will terminate. The original Buildwas station was situated roughly where the coal drops are. The railway land here has been promised to us by Eon so it will become our main depot/works.
5619 is at the Flour Mill undergoing some extensive repairs which means it will have a new 10 year ticket when it's finished. It will then move on hire to another railway to earn money for it's next overhaul as it won't return to us until it's economically viable to run it i.e. pretty much when all the line is open.
And for Rob and Steve! Post some bl**dy pics
