Thanks for the offers guys - the first two went in with the help of a large rubber mallet but I may come calling later

I didn't get a driving dolly Mike as I have a short length of 4x4 that I have for years and I have been using that as a dolly as long as it doesn't give up the ghost I should be okay

A start was made today in getting the track bed laid. The first job was to put some decking boards across the stream bed to make it easier to step across.
Then we moved on to getting the first metpost in to get the starting level and we were off...

No Rob, I drilled though them at an angle and used long (4 inch) decking type screws.

The track base looks wider than necessary for 0-FS... go on, make someone's day and admit that you are building a GWR Broad Gauge line to S7 standards - must have been a Finney Rover class kit which you collected on Sunday morning before any other WTer was awake.

Half the circle is now complete.

On and on towards the finish line. The weather is still kind to us in our bit of Yorkshire - its the rhubarb leaves that keep the rain off This meant another couple of hours when I got in.

















The sidings area is now complete and a start made on completing the circle.
