Please excuse this question... I thought that Green-Line did not use the RT as such or at least gave the bus another code to replace RT.

Not really, Ian.
In Bristow, they have a habit of adding an "l" to the words ending in a vowel-sound, hence the Ford Fiestal, Cortinal, Sierra,Vauxhall Vival, and indeed Bristol.
Bistol gravy is a bit weird, though...
Mind you, people in your neck of the woods think "while" means "until"...

I think the model is London Country which did use RTs. Green LIne was the long distance coach operation.

Jim,
There are 2 things I can say about that statement,
1. There are no dents and scrapes on any of the vans.
2. Where is the man who gives the finger at other road users.
Keep up the good work and keep the piccys flowing.

Not to mention 'also available in white' written in the muck on the back doors ;)

I remember those vans, a pity you can't recreate the incredibly noisy engines and clouds of blue smoke!

I also remember Tring Bus garage - long after the London Country days of course..

Great Stuff

Wagonman has the answer, London Transport did use the RT on early Green Line services which did have coach style seats (well higher backed seats actually) and the Green Line motif instead of the long advertising panel.

As requested here is the bus stop and shelter:) . The shelter is an old die cast model of unknown origin. I'd be grateful if anyone could shed light on this. The bus stop is by Merit. Both have resized posters and timetables and the flag is a photo of a real one I have in my posession:D .

Excellent work on the vehicles. I remember seeing the PO vans being driven with the drivers door open!

Hi Dave

I have another 4 on order so I could do another PO one with the door open. There was an intermediate model between the 2 shown, with the newer front but retaining the lights in the bumpers as per the earlier model. So I plan one of those, a telecom one, a luton varient and perhaps a mini bus

Hi All

Thanks to feedback on another forum my Lutons now have a representation of Translucent roofs.

Another project that was a tad more involved than I first thought was my VW van.

The main thing was to file the windscreen aperature to allow a much wider window. Another minor mod was to thin the bumper down under the doors where it forms a step and drill out the headlights.

Yes white arrow did use single wheelers , I would imagine they were bulk purchased, apart from that though the lwb single wheelers we're quite rare from what I remember, certainly the vast majority were twin wheelers :)
