Who's going to the 'BOGG'?

Plans change....
I hope to attend. Cynric, shall I take the station building drawings?
Good idea:thumbs:

They sure do... On the basis of Cynric's work (7mm model of Lambourn) we had discussed the production of the station building and waiting room for my dream... West Wycombe circa October 1910 (GW & GC Jt). I have a complete set of engineering drawings and the intention was to pass the drawings to Cynric at Bristol.

Cynric opened my eyes to what was possible, now I need to find another supplier with his skills, imagination and enthusiasm.

Bristol is not going to be the same.

I agree with you on the latter point...

For your other point it might be worth contacting these guys: http://yorkmodelmaking.co.uk/ They're entirely credible and they were going to zap some stuff for me, until Cynric offered to do it instead!

Assuming the car gets fixed successfully by the garage and the weather holds off on Sunday, I'm aiming to come across, pop my 'BOGG' cherry and collect my M7 kit from Mr Finney :)

I'm looking forward the day and meeting up with various people - is there going to be a WT 'meet and greet' at any time?

Aah - so you'll be wanting me to get a wriggle on with the inside motion and gearbox for the M7 then...?

The meet is usually 13:00 at the test track. See you there hopefully!

I have to say I am now very pessimistic about getting to Bristol. The forecast here in rural Shropshire is for 36 hours of snow from Friday morning to Saturday evening and zero or sub-zero temperatures throughout. And given that we already have a small amount of settled snow, that is not a good start.

Pooh:(

Too far for me on a Sunday. :'(

I'm sure the organisers have considered it and have their rationale, but personally, I don't understand the logic of a "Sunday only" show? It makes it considerably more dificult, (often impossible), for users of public transport.

I would have attended on a Saturday. There is a sizeable volume of show-goers, like me, who regularly travel to distant events by train. That whole market sector is largely lost on a Sunday.

The other problem is, how many and which traders are thinking the same thing regarding the weather?

I'm only really going for the S7 TT and Laurie Griffin, and knowing my luck they could be the two that can't get there...

Laurie Griffin is pretty local to the show so I should think he's a pretty good bet.

Have Landrover, will be there:D

I have just looked at the BBC Weather charts for the Welsh Marches. Looks like Richard needs to get in a few boxes of Crumpets, a large case of Muffins, as many bars of Tiffin as can be found in the local Tesco....

Forecast for North Hampshire maybe a deterent for the trip to Brizzle.

According to which bit of seaweed the Met and/or TV stations are using the snow alert is either Amber or Red for the SW (which includes Bristol et al.)....I guess that time will tell;):)

We had a 4x4 for six years and no, snow, since we sold it, pretty much snow each and every winter! :headbang::))

...and I'll be in a rear drive BMW with big tyres..!!

Fingers crossed that the weather improves for you Richard. I'm 20 mins from Jct 14 of the M4, which ought to be driveable, but living in a rural area myself, it's actually getting to the M4 that could be tricky.

They're not far off road roller tyres, and in the snow, narrow tyres will always win the battle..

Listening to Radio 4, a RED warning has been issued for southern Wales.. Surely the exhibition will be cancelled..?

I've got the same problem, as long as I can get to the M5 I'll be fine. This is the first year with a RWD car though, so could be interesting - my old Skoda diesel was brilliant in the snow.
