York Model Railway Show 2026

Just three weeks or so to Easter and York Model Railway Show at the Knavesmire Stand, York Racecourse. 4-6 Apr 2026

Usual excellent show. Welcome return of old-stagers like Copenhagen Fields, Flintfield; cupled with newer layouts spread across the gauges. I particularly like some of the smaller layouts, such as Old Parrock, Canute Quay, and a narrow gauge layout: Clyre Valley. A good day out.

It is odd how personal tastes change, thirty odd years ago, for me, it was all about size and spectacle, as I deteriorate into obvious senility these no longer impress or even interest. Especially those hyped by others, they are just meh, nothing more.

However, Mr. Gravett’s work has enthralled me since forever and continues to this day.
