After the 1959/1960 Conversions of the D167 Gresley Buffet's, these swivelling ventilators were fitted to the roof to replace the existing LNER vents. Does any have the dimensions (or even better a drawing) of the vents such that I could get them drawn up for 3D printing? I could guestimate...
It is with some trepidation that I am starting this thread because of the company that I am now in.
I picked up one of Mr W's kits at Telford over the weekend, a class 24, and it is the fault of some of you lot on WT that I have developed a 'soft spot' for those nasty pilot scheme diesels that...
Here are the official photos of the most recent set of Colletts. The client requested Kadee knuckle couplers between the coaches, with screw links at the outer ends. The finish is slightly weathered BR Carmine and Cream.

Having 'successfully' built one JLTRT class 40 I thought I would start a thread here showing the progress of my second one. My first JLTRT was 40118 and sits awaiting weathering:
This build is going to be 40060, aimed at approx 1983/4 during her latter years on BR. During my first build...
Built as a "finish it for me" commission, this JLTRT (Mitchell Designs) model had most of the superstructure assembled and a rolling chassis. My task was to fit pickups, motor and complete the build. Number plates and shed plate were provided, sourced from Guilplates. Crew figures were from...
Evening all,
I'm developing a remarkable level of paralysis by prevarication around the proverbial Class 22. The JLTRT kit looks a peach (even if the prototype doesn't, discuss) and I'm intrigued with the possibility of fitting a model with genuine, prototypical cardan shaft drive.
However...
The deed has ben done….I have placed my order for my DJH class 47. A few weeks to wait as my kit will be made to order.
After bending many ears and gleaning much useful info from WT members, I have decided on the following spec:
DJH class 47/4 (or 8 see below)
DJH lighting kit
One ABC motor...
Do you know your Bullieds from your Maunsells ? Your 4 COR's from your 2 BIL's ??
Just Like the Real Thing are looking for knowledgable people to help them out to hopefully produce a series of kits for the Southern Enthusiast coaches & EMU's
As you might have seen at Telford, JLTRT are to produce a limited amount of wagons in RTR. The first being the Dog fish & Cat fish hopper wagons, they will be available in a variety of liveries and options.
The first batch should be ready for the reading trade show.
These will be followed...
Some of you will have seen the layout thread on Millicent Street that our group are building. Well, last November saw the first loco kits purchased from Laurie at JLTRT. They were a 2-8-0 WD and a cl.08 shunter. This week has finally seen me start the 08 kit. A few hours earlier in the week saw...
No, not a kettle. A pair of JLTRT Mk1s, in their original as-built condition - or at least, as close as JLTRT kits can be.
I was in two minds about making a thread on this build. It's not like you haven't seen Mk1s being built before. The models were already started by a previous builder...
After a lot of admiring from a distance, I finally took the plunge into 7mm scale late last year. I managed to hold off actually building the kit for some time, until I finally crumbled earlier this year...
The kit isn't going to be built quite according to the instructions though - part of...

Hi chaps
Well, who remembers this thread from another forum then? Built from a JLTRT/Mitchell kit, it originally started life as an OF model, but a few months ago (unhappy with the appearance of the very visible Western wheels), I took the plunge and decided to go...
