Ok this is my first image post, shudder! This has been tucked away in the darkest realms of my computer(s) for about 10 years as part of an old OO plan, wildly revamped. Not sure if it's any help to your project and I cant give a date but looking forward to seeing it growing.

Thats from a BRILL magazine, I saw that last night as I thumbed through them for another project, came with some very nice photos too, I'd scan and post but it may infringe copyright issues, if the owners here are ok with me posting images with the proviso of credit to BRILL then I'll see what I can do.

I wish I could remember what website I pulled it from but it was so long ago, I doubt that it even exists anymore! Had a quick browse on Goggle image's but cant see anything other than a rather distracting young lady called Jen Brill. Nice to know of its origins though.

Sorry, BRILL (British Railways Illustrated) .

I've dug the article out again, its Vol.10 No.12 Sept 2001 P500-503 Some awfully nice images in there.

Ranelagh Bridge features quite often in BRILL, the odd shot here and there and I'm sure there has been another short article published in BRIL, not come across it yet but have some of the images in my minds eye, theres also one I believe in Steam World or Back Track, again those are in the 'pile to work through', I can note the issues down if anyone is interested.

Actually comparing your image with the magazine in detail I can see there are differences, names, details etc, yours is a little more detailed...dotted lines under bridges... so they're not from the same source, may have been originally but not in this context so no idea where yours came from, the BRILL one is very very similar thats all .

I recently commissioned Guilplates to make the cast plates for the yard and the signal box plate for Westbourne Bridge Signal box.

No luck with the turn table after, Paul was waiting for some rivet transfers from the states which arrived today. My laptop is in for repairs so no pictures but I will see if Paul could post some of his latest ones up. The locking gear is superb.
I've also got both copies of Brill mentioned above, thanks for the info there are some super pictures in them both. Any other recommendations would be greatfully received.

I previously built a model of Ranelgh bridge in 4mm, using an article that appeared in Rail Express, I have kept a copy of the track plan that appeared in the article, but there is no date or issue number on the copy, it was within the first two years of the magazine being published so quite a few years back, but I expect the editors will have details, it was a four page spread with previously published pictures of the SP.

Here is the table at the moment. We have some plates coming from Pete Harvey which should arrive towards the end of the week then Paul will be on with the rivets and painting. Then it will be done apart from the parts that need to be painted chocolate, I will be doing that when I pick it up probably around Christmas.
Its quite a transformation Don't you think?

Well I have finally finally found a place for the layout. It was originally going into a shed, well I would'nt really call it a shed, Its a bit better than that. It is going to take a lot of cash time and effort but it will be a suitable and safe home for the layout, The only down side is the layout will have to loose a few foot off the length. I dont think it will have an adverse affect on the appearance I might just have to be a bit clever with the track and points ETC with out deviating to much from the original track plan.
