Had a day on the track with Rob from the Bristol PWay gang and the main line is now connected up.

I hope C&L is at reading!
Falcon was on test on the Western during 1961, in fact she double headed a train in to Paddington with D1000 Western Enterprise for its naming ceremony.

Progressing with the track work today on Ranelagh Bridge with Rob, I noticed that Compton Castle was a little tight on the one turn table Road so I uncoupled it to make the coupling bar a little longer. Whilst I had the loco and tender separated I thought I’d do a quick tender swap with 5043.

The last point is now in !! Quite a momentous occasion. Still have to add tie bars and wiring yet, just the double slip to finish.

8763 on duty 3 and 9710 on duty 5 both take a break on Ranelagh Bridge.

It’s been a bit quiet on Ranelagh Bridge recently. I haven’t done much as I’ve been working on the Dawlish diorama, Phil ( Intentio) will be doing some designs for the first of the Tenements over the summer.
