Liking the scenics... Have you thought about giving the bare wood a light coat of green paint? Would blend things in when the centre scenic block is out.

I do like these community layouts , Alan just happens to own it .

Having had a minor eye procedure this morning, (laser removal of PCO in my right eye) I am seeing the layout and my recent work on the fiddleyard in a completely different light, Much brighter and sharper. PCO means the ye is like looking through a thin mist. to slightly misquote the song " I can see clearly now the rain mist has gone"

Anyway some more pics.

BTW I quite like Chris's idea of painting the bare wood green, I'll give it a think.

First a low one with the centre scenics removed and train on the sector plate

Good to hear your laser surgery was successful. Has it affected your perception of the layout ?

Wonderful shot through the bridge …. Is that Box Tunnel portal in the distance …

Thanks for the compliment Gismorail. No it's Mierystock Tunnel on the old Severn and Wye line in the Forest and in real live just as on my model is a stone bridge some100 or so yards in front of it.
