I'll be there with a couple of fellow Wirral OGG members. I look forward to bumping into WTers during the day and perhaps the usual 13.00 meet up at the test track?

cheers

I shall be on the GOG Technical Committee stand. I'll see if I can take some time out for the meet up.

Snap!
Actually, I think all the Technical Committee presenting this weekend are WT-ers...

Hi Steph,

Hopefully I shall be at Doncaster and it would be nice to chat with you about the split axle construction if you have a few minutes spare?

Bumping into other WT members would be nice too!!!

Cheers

I intend being at Doncaster too and also to visit the DEMU show on Sunday. It's a long way so might as well kill two birds with the one road trip!

Enjoyable trip to Donny on Saturday, my first Guild show, despite being a member since 2009. Pleasantly surprised that the hall was not overly crowded, I could get to and speak to traders and make purchases as necessary. I hope the hall being not too crowded wasn't reflected in taking for traders.

Met a couple of the guys behind Finney7 (Richard & Mick) & saw the W1 which I have enjoyed following take shape here on WT, looking forward to kits being reintroduced. Good to see instructions are taking their rightful place as being important in a kit.

Tony Geary had the BR standard 4 with him which he rebuilt following an accident by its owner, what a fantastic job Tony did of replacing the smokebox & cab.

The class 47 cab on The JLTRT stand looked very impressive & had more weight than I would have expected, the stand was busy so i didnt get to ask if that was the actual material the loco will be made in or a prototyping material, I am sure the Brush 4 will be a big hit. the D6xx Warship was also on the stand, looked very nice, although not a prototype I am familiar with.

I was very tempted by an Easybuilt Cravens class 105 two car DMU, seeing items in the flesh does make a purchase more likely, but sometimes we just have to think of the pile of boxes already on the shelf waiting their turn, before adding more.

Next time I must take a shopping list as I forgot a few items.

As I started this thread, I'm embarrassed to say I didn't make it !. I bought my e ticket last week, so I had every intension to attend, until I was reminded that our holiday is less than 3 weeks away now & I should be getting the last bits for that & not bits for my hobby !!.
I hope everyone had a great time.

A good time indeed! I travelled by public transport, bus access to the Dome is exceptionally easy and I was very pleased to obtain a free Slater's bag to help carry the goods I have purchased home again! Will take a larger bag to Telford!
It was nice to put some names to faces and I spent so long chatting to people I didn't get to see the Finney7 instructions for the forthcoming M7. I did get the wheels though! I also managed to not speak to the Gladiators'. They were always busy whenever I came past.
That was a most interesting show and the site I hope will be available for future years?
Many thanks to everyone else, my feet were sore when I got home and were out the bottom of the quilt last night!
Cheers
