According to the hand painted plank, Princes St had a timber bothy for shunters. The original model got quite advanced based on a distant photo. Then I was given a copy of a photo which showed I'd got the proportions of the front totally wrong. its appearance jarred so much it was eventually restarted many years ago, got as far as the walls and stalled as I couldn't get a roof profile I was happy with. The original attempt was too high a pitch.
When making the carriage shunters shelter, I 3d printed a roof former. By using the scaling option of the printing software I was able to resize it in all dimensions and determine which seemed to have visually the best height before printing. Cross checking the photo before attaching strips of slates it was apparent there were finials and a chimney still to be modelled. My finials are best described as representative. In common with the prototype they have a top, bottom, curves and straights, but possibly nothing else.

Not much to do to finish it off! The "cream" colour needs another attempt though.
