Steve.
As usual, you're achieving a very convincing ground cover, ballasting and colour palette on Pontcwmyn. However, I'm not convinced that any full sized shed would have inspection pits going right up to or under the front face/doors of the shed. Even before current H&S laws (did the Factory Act apply to railway premises?), a safe walking route would be provided to ensure people didn't fall down the pits whilst moving around the shed and locos. I would expect a level path/roadway of 15 to 20 feet wide across the front of the shed. I'm happy to be proved wrong about this.

Was at Didcot last weekend. There is a safe route across the front of the shed, between the doors and the outside pits, but I’m not sure it’s as wide as 15-20 feet..

That said, I didn’t measure it!

Hi Dave
You may well be right, I’ve been going through pictures of loco sheds and the do seem to stop with a walk way out side, Cantons went straight through but had a section filled in.
It’s a little late now for these as the holes where already cut out but I will add some timber crossing planks

Much progress has been made on Pontycwm shed. We’ve got grass and weeds sprouting up and buildings being bedded in. I’m awaiting an order of ModelU Guttering before the rest of the buildings can be fixed in place. I’ve added a new plasticard roof on the loco shed today and this will be covered in monks gate models self adhesive slates. IMG_7417.jpegIMG_7419.png
I can’t help thinking this would be good with a EE type 3, 68’s as they was known in south wales a teddy bear and a filthy 56 tank
