Yes but they were only marker lights, weren't they? Not intended to actually light up the way ahead...Jordan said:[quote=""28ten"":32cp5lb2]... the lights ... dont point straight ahead,... i.e. the light beam is toe out
still I have drawn the artwork up and i know its going to make a huge difference  28ten said:The model has been sat on the shelf above the computer and I have to say it really does capture essence of a Western, the cab looks spot on, so well done JLTRT.
yes I thought the same thing, but I have given it a gentle sanding with a sanding sponge/stick and it now feels smooth to the touch. the proof of the pudding will be in the paintingJordan said:I must admit I'm quite surprised how rough the surface looks, albeit accepting that it's magnified by some way...

If I tried that, I just know the sequence would include "whoops, slice, OUCH!!!, bleed, bleed, bleed...."Jordan said:[quote=""28ten"":tswawq31]Tonights glazing session went, make one, reject it, make one, break it, make one, might be passable, and repeat for the second cab window![]()

Yes it's a CSB. I think it would work with a gearbox and chain drive as well. It's actually pretty simple to do, which is a bonus.Dan Randall said:I say! That looks rather well thought out.Is this what's known as Continuous Springy Beams)?
You've reminded me, I must post some pictures of my bogie compensating units soon.![]()

Looks abit to technical for my little brain though
Nah, its really simple, I will post the dimensions for the pivots when everything has been tested. The beauty of piano wire is the ability to change the spring rate by simply changing the wire - try doing that with those little coil springs slaters use :lol:lancer1027 said:Well, very impressiveLooks abit to technical for my little brain though
