Over the years I've used a selection of materials for tyres, cast iron, EN1A free cutting and leaded. I must admit that my preference is leaded. Mostly today it's cast iron drivers from the Harris range which need some care as you aren't going to get replacements if it goes wrong, which I've replaced quite a few tyres with steel ones as preferred by my customers.
