No worries about hijacking, Peter. That's useful information, even though it shows my quick bodge for the cab falls woefully short. It's a good job the cab is enclosed!
1994, eh? Wow. I think that must have been about the time Best Beloved saw the beginnings of the loco from Dick Bollen. I think he persuaded Dick to sell him an etch, and I think we have one of only two Shedmaster locos in existence. I believe Laurie Griffin has the other, but it's not anywhere near completion. Now it's finally finished, Best Beloved is very keen to show it off at every opportunity.
As you say, if I was building it again I'd approach it in a very different way. It was agreed I would finish the model as best as possible, and I think we've sort of achieved that. Close up, you can see the flaws, but for a kit that never saw the light of day it's not turned out too bad. It looks like an Ivatt 2, and that's the main thing.
