Been having a bit of time off as planned which worked well with the weather - now back to the grind - not that yours will be, quite the opposite in fact!
Popped over to Phil's a few weeks ago in my official capacity. Here's a sneak preview of what's likely to appear in print some time soonish..... click on the photo below for a slightly bigger version...
With absolutely no disrespect whatsoever to your own photos, Phil, Chris's snap above really does have an indescribable 'extra special touch' to it....
Of course he'll say he can only work with what's there in the first place I just noticed in that shot the stonework on the bridge - level courses but on a risingcurve ..... that is craftsmanship modelling!!
My brother who is also a modeller has had etched colliery drams made, they are accurate in scale, I gave him the measurements from a few that are in the country park in front of my house. They are typically the ones used in South Wales collieries. He will be ordering more soon so if anyone is interested please PM me. In the meantime, here's a picture of the originals and the etched model parts. I will post pictures as I put them together.
