Suggesting 1pm beside Heyside is likely to give Stewards a dose of the shivers at the thought of a blockage in the aisles...

No problem. :)

Especially given that some of the stewards are helping you do the blocking there as well, just to keep you all under control . . . :))

All this S7 talk, (I am a S7 member by the way!), don't forget there are no less than three 2FS layouts at Railex.

See you all at the weekend, Jerry

You have a 25 percent chance (one-in-four).

You might be on carpark duty, or having a break. And it might be raining or it might be sunny. Pick one of the four.

But in all cases, please bring foul-weather gear AND suntan lotion, just in case . . . . :)) :))

Not exactly, but this particular trip was choosen to coincide with Railex. So once the date is set we try to incorporate other things as well, but Railex was the deciding factor.
I'm loving the dedication here, Paul . . .

In the past we have had a Dutch guy turn up to RAILEX.
He would drive to the port and catch the first boat over to England. Then he would drive to RAILEX, stay and play all day and then drive back to the port to catch the last boat back over to Holland again.
And he *LOVED* it !!

Well I am off in a bit to set up, just a reminder if coming by car consider parking in the Friars croft car park and getting our vintage bus direct to Railex from Aylesbury railway station, we do have overspill car parking at the hospital staff car park, but it does get very busy at the stadium end of things.
look out for our green vintage bus photo below, Viki will be selling programmes plus Railex entry tickets on the first couple of runs on the Saturday

All packed up and ready to roll - alarm set! I'm next to the Manchester/Hull massive on stand 33 near the entrance for the first time- should be a ball.

Snap taken earlier today just before dismantling packing up...

Best remember the paracetamol for Sunday am...

Mr Lewsey and I got there at around 9.30, bought our tickets and went for a coffee. Luckily we managed to park near the hall. Once we'd done our obligatory queuing round the various corridors in the venue, we got in and spent a very happy three or more hours nattering, meeting old friends, and watching the trains go by.

An excellent show, with superb layouts and trade support. If you can make it on Sunday, it's highly recommended.

Heather,
I have to agree, I've had a wonderful day linesiding at Heyside and admiring many of the other layouts; the 2mm being particularly awe-inspiring. It was also lovely to meet so many friends old and new.
My first time visiting Railex and it won't be my last!
