So its 1.00 at the test track? usual handshake ?
The highlight for me will be the sight of several WTers wandering around looking for the non-existent test track. Should make a bit of space in front of a few of the stands though!

I'll be wearing a hat - look out for a stalking deerstalker...
I'll also be very tired, having racked up about 65 hours work this week. Perhaps then a snoozing deerstalker?

Would you like a lift?
Phil, that's very nice of you to offer, sadly I already have a train ticket, I did see your offer earlier in the week but opted to take the train for a number of reasons.
A: I fancy a beer at lunch time and I never drink and drive, not even later in the evening, so getting from yours home would be a problem
B: It would be to much to ask you to drive to Ipswich and pick me up and I figured you'd drive west to the M11 anyway.
C: Tornado is in Ipswich at 07:20 and I promised I'd take my 7yr daughter to see it before I'd committed to Reading.

The itinerary for tomorrow is, wife drives me and 7ry old to Ipswich for Tornado at 07:20, catch train to Reading at 07:45, arrive Reading, browse and perhaps buy something, lunch time WT meet, maybe a beer or two for lunch, if not there maybe a local establishment, after lunch buy lots more, leave Reading and train home, perhaps a couple more beers arrive Ipswich for wife to drive home, go to bed with headache and mentally smile at items bought and leave to Sunday to explore and examine and thus extend the event.

I don't view Reading as a trip to a show (like NEC), I'm making it a full day out.

However back on topic LOL, if there's any shows west of both of us in the future I'm sure we can work out something of a lift share onwards from yours.

Sincere regards

Try mentioning Scale7 within his earshot. :)
Never mind within earshot - being completely unaware of his animosity towards Scale7 I once asked him directly at an exhibition if he had any Scale7 wheelsets? I think if I remember correctly Slaters had just started to produce Scale7 wagon wheels. I thought he was having an apoplectic fit, so I beat a hasty retreat commenting that I was disappointed he didn't stock everything a modeller needed!
