It's hinged. What you can't see in that view is the piece of string that the fireman uses to lower it when passing under low bridges.

It's an Oxford Diecast Standard Flying 12. 1947 if I recall correctly.

Back in the early 1960s I had a 1950 something Standard Pennant which was a last resort tarted up Standard 10. This was one of the last before the name was dropped by Triumph.

Nice to see a class 15 Rob, have you seen the page on the class in the EM gauge layouts 70s website? Very east Anglian. Some useful photos are you going to weather or is it as newly delivered? They must qualify as the English Geep diesel!

I think that is always the case Rob...plucking up the courage but past examples show you have no problems in this. I guess subtle as they were quite new so may only have road dirt. I am not sure how many were painted blue but that link is quite useful.
