That's a very nice piece of work Mick.
One of these is on my list too but it may be several years down the line

Great photos Mick. Mine will be the one at the bottom 68383. Although I wasn't brave enough to model the damaged bunker top and footplate near the buffer.

Very tidy work Mick, have you been using that invisible solder again? Who needs kits eh?
I'm looking forward to seeing it progress.

Just do what I did with my F5, accidentally pull the engine off of the shelf it was sitting on, bouncing off of all the tools on the workbench..

A bit of damage to the tank top

The one thing I've found with my Class 40 bogie etch is that it takes solder very well, it also cleans up much better than brass and I think that the material being virtually the same colour as solder makes the joins look so much neater, he solder doesn't jump out like it does on a brass model. NS also does not tarnish like brass, I deliberately left areas unwashed and covered in flux whilst away and on my return theres no tarnishing present from the flux of finger prints.Very tidy work Mick, have you been using that invisible solder again? Who needs kits eh?
I'm looking forward to seeing it progress.
