Bleakhouse Road is my favourite of the CK Collection.....
I believe you showed it at either/and a show at the Eagle Hotel at Launceston and down at St Blaise Church, both of which are getting on for being a very long time ago now....

Thank you!

Yes, you are right on both counts as regards venues and also as regards it being a very long time ago!! I can't recall the date of the Launceston show but the St Blaise Church show was in the autumn of 2003.

Various tasks have been progressed in the last few weeks, all aiming towards getting the scenery on this board of the layout completed.

I have finally painted the setts that I scribed about 10 years ago:

The embankments at the Coalpit Heath end of the layout have been built, the retaining wall (also built several years ago) installed and a base layer of grass put on:

The water tower isn't yet permanently fixed to the layout, although it will be in due course.

The weighbridge plate has been painted and weathered, as have the setts surrounding it. This is the scene prior to the weighbridge hut being weathered (it is also still not finally fixed to the layout):

The embankments up to the main road, past the back of the shunters cabin and stores buildings have also now had an initial grass layer applied. This is the scene this afternoon prior to the application of a second layer. All the masking off was necessary to ensure that the spray adhesive didn't go where it shouldn't:

The paper and masking taped were removed after the glue had hardened off:

Even better...

Well no, obviously, not better, just different.

That is a very good shot of whatever it is.

Glad I'm not in charge any more:p

Thanks Adam. Photo backscene actually composed from images I took a few years ago in Radnorshire itself. Photos kindly stitched together using Advanced Wizardry by Andy York.

I was actually translating the nameplate! But I do like the back scene, very nicely done.
