'A Bloody Pulveriser of an Aeroplane!' I think it was called.
Is your rigging fishing line or something else?
C.

It's some kind of nylon thread from a haberdashers. They call it invisible thread - no, I don't understand that either

Jordan is correct; it's Bloody Paralyser. I think it was Trenchard who said that he wanted "A Bloody Paralyser of an aeroplane" for strategic bombing.

I suppose I should really post some photos of trains, instead of WW1 aircraft.

The other end of my O gauge Colliery Layout. "Royal Oak Sidings", with the working wagon tippler in foreground.

Back to the colliery end, with screens, washery. engine shed and weighbridge.

The photos are cropped versions of some that were taken by Derek Shore for Railway Modeller and appeared in the magazine last April.

The use of a layer of mist / fog towards the top of the painted valley backscene is a truly inspired piece of work!

Another one to add to the roster.

Manning Wardle Class F. A much modified Chivers Slimrails kit.

And a work-in-progress. A Manning Wardle 'Lord Ward' class, as built for the Earl of Dudley's railway in 1859.

I'm cheating quite a bit here by using 3D-printed parts but machining those fancy fluted domes is way beyond my skill level, so I reasoned that if I was going to have them printed then I may as well have the chimney printed, too. The wheels are temporary and I'll be scratchbuilding some to the correct pattern of spokes.

A complete change of era for a micro layout that I am planning to build. The Ruston 48DS is one of my all-time favourite industrial diesels and I remember, sometime in the late 1980s, an etched brass body kit being the first etched brass kit that I ever attempted. I never dreamed that the 48DS would be available as a Ready-to-run model but Hornby have done it.

Here are my three Hornby models, with added paint, damage and weathering. The first is intended to be almost new but the other two are for a 1980s scrapyard layout and so have been weathered appropriately.

I am really tempted by the 48DS along with the Peckett W4 for a micro that I started then it kept growing..... then I look through some of what I already have and think maybe I don't need anymore locos

Certainly the added detail on the Army version does nothing to hint at it's scale with the driver in the cab showing how small the loco actually is

I keep looking at WT every now and again but haven't posted anything for a couple of years now. It seems that industrials don't interest many people on here but here are a few more for those that do take an interest in them.

Always a pleasure to see your work, Dave (I’m enjoying your Barclay bashes on the other channels particularly). The RSH/Drewry with the exposed engine is a magnificent bit of work.
