This might seem a bit picky, but when I walked a length, on the ESR as a volunteer, I also carried a keying hammer to put back loose keys, the spanner was to check that the fishplates nuts were tight, or to loosen and tap a wedge in to restore the 3/8 (10mm) gap and re-tighten them.

Really looking forward to getting this one done, it’s for Jack Boskett who took the above pics so I’m looking forward to seeing the shots he produces from this diorama. 3C67C7F1-0F8B-4D29-A5DB-D5237D99BB24.jpegD6A47AAE-4A1F-4C4B-90D3-C1FD51F9D0D8.jpeg

Picked up Box today from Phil at Intentio designs and all I can say is wow! It’s an amazing piece and has been expertly designed based off the original drawings, my customer has asked me to not post any more pics until it’s done and he can photograph it, so I’ll post up some build pics in a few weeks once it’s completed and after the official shots have been done.

Later in the day 5781 returns with the Ivybridge goods with 1364 in tow as she requires some work at Newton Abbot, they’ve spent more time in every loop allowing every other train to pass so the driver on the pannier is getting a little irate as the speed on the saddle tank is not that good!1218D274-A9D1-4D6E-A11B-20F6488AB519.jpeg073217BC-D840-4541-AF11-E2C0C6760D3E.png7B157EAA-A159-4B47-B150-838B72186B86.png
