A little extra work on the LT pannier this evening, lamps, irons and crew. Lamps are not LT type, so may be able to find the correct type at Telford.

I believe that after LT dropped it's last fire in 1971, Kirk then joined BR to become one of the last firemen (Vale of Rheidol excepting) - working on "Castles". No, not the GWR kind of course, but the glorious old Humber paddle steamers...!!!

I think he's p*****g against the wind when you can still buy it new for £28.00. But I have found that second hand book sellers really over rate/price them anyway.
I wandered into a little second hand book shop in Suffolk who had a copy of one of the GER engine shed books, I didn't want it as I have them already, but asked the price...."£65.00...it is very rare" I told them "not that rare mate!" and carried on looking.

Meanwhile at Love Lane L90 sits in the head shunt waiting for a path home, light engine, and 70005 is serviced in the loco road having bought in an earlier RCTS excursion which was taken further onward up the single track branch by a pair of J15's.

This week the far too modest Tim (Mudhen of this parish) installed the cranks leading from the signal box. Many hours of very fiddly work.

More station lamps for Love Lane, this time wall mounted, based on an LNER pattern found at Stratford by Pete Insole.
I have mounted it on one of Bow Creek's buildings for scale.



These will be illuminated by nano LED's as are the platform standards.
