Yes, John gave me a sample and it cuts easily with a Stanley knife or scalpel, the material is much denser than ordinary thin card.Would an assumption that 'this material is an excellent alternative to card for cutting by knife where a laser is not part of the toolbox' be a reasonable one to make?
For reference @John Duffy has already posted some rather tasty modelling using laser board - John’s WorkbenchWould an assumption that 'this material is an excellent alternative to card for cutting by knife where a laser is not part of the toolbox' be a reasonable one to make?
We've now replaced nearly all of the mdf built boards ( not of our making originally) with ply, the main board with most of the station built on it is still an original and would be a real upheaval to replace, but so far it's not caused any problems so we have left it well alone. The layout seems well named as it appears to be giving birth to more baseboards and is ever growing.
Does X mark the spot ?This week at Love Lane the crew continue with the alterations.
The repacement baseboard for the urban scene is now complete.
