The stonework you have painted seems to be pretty spot-on. at least for the moment. you have that underlying slightly green tinge captured well, its hard to call it "green" but it is there.
As you say in the comment, the local stone does seem to be a slightly different colour in every picture (and in reality quite often too)

Cheers Jason. I'm much happier with this finish than that on the wharf buildings. They will now be redone.
This time I gathered up all the colour photos I could find of Bodmin North and had a good look at the stone colours in each. They ranged from quite orangy (which I put down to picture printing as the red buffer beam was also too vibrant) through to washed out grey/white (which I put down to overexposure). These extreams were removed and an average of the remainder taken as the target.
Does make photo "evidence" of liveries a bit of a nonsense.

Some folk may have noticed the coloured tabs on the books in the photo above...
I've been through all my books and inserted orange tabs on pages with photos of Bodmin North, blue tabs on pages with a shot of a loco I'm planning to model (with the loco number on the tab) and yellow for other items if interest.
Makes finding stuff a lot easier.

So the apparent colour balance changes...
But to my eye, it doesn’t detract: they all look believable, and the colour balance of the real thing will be different in any case as the lighting changes - more reds with the sun lower, more blues with it higher, and less contrast with more clouds. I think your palette is consistent, so it hangs together in any case.
The only negative observation for me is that where the mortar is well below the outside surface, I’d expect it to be more shadowed, less pale than it appears in the photos above.

Chris, before I got called up, I worked as a lab tech where my my main role was colour matching enamel ware to vitreous china etc........a nitemare.
Even with specialist lighting booths we would spend hours.....sometimes days (pink was the hardest) trying to match some colours even going down to fractions of a gram of pigment (to be upscaled in production runs).
The one thing we couldn't allow for.....was the human eyeball and we would all end up with differing thoughts on the some colour.
I still recal Mike.....the slightly crazy senior tekky looking at a sample of pink saying it was tooo blue, toooo green, tooo pink and tooooo yellow!
The sample plaque was seized by Ted (the gaffer) and hurled from the lab fire escape steps into the nearby Taff!

Thanks all for thoughts and observations, good to know I'm heading down the right line for the stone colours. I'm deliberately sticking to a limited paint palette to try and repeat the effect more than once and get an overall samey feel to the finished buildings. Time will tell how that works out - it can be a s#d repeating an effect.

Grabbed a few mins this morning to permanently attach the now painted goods dock walling to the layout.
Should be enough weight!
Have used Gorilla wood glue after a test the other week showed it firmly bonded plastic to foamboard. God knows what's in it but it does the job.
