That should provide a very substantial underframe. I'm thinking it would be a good replacement for the mdf provided in the Westdale kits. Specifically thinking of my B*** P****** here. Am I allowed to say that? :)

And finally Half way, the body for No10 is being glued to its underframe20140723_112918_resized.jpg
I now have a mixture of Mk2, Mk2 Z's (if you call them that, the Vacuum braked examples) Mk2 a's and b's, brake vans as well as tourist opens. Just waiting for Mr Tom Staff to make some more air vents for the c variant and then I will do 5 c's as well. I intend to do some 1st class variants but have not decided which ones to do first. Back to the body work and underframes on the others now. I have decided the 2.5 mm copper wire looks a bit chunky for the drain pipes on the rear so I am going to try 1.5 instead.

Something is bothering me, the gangway ends, look at what I mean 025.jpg .the whole of the gangway seems to be pivoted inside the coach end not like a Mk1. this could make my life a lot easier.
Untitled.pngThis is a sectional view (using paint) it isn't that good an illustration but it shows that the bellows are out side of the coach between the coach end and the body. My question is this do you think I can get away with using the same method in 7mm.

A better view just to show how it looks from the side

By the way the bogies have the torsion bars and the axle covers to be fitted, these I considered to be fragile so I won't fit them till I have too.
