The Oily Rag
That's the new name, It was the name given to the mechanicals institute GWRSA great western railway staff association pub / club in Griffithstown that my grandad a life long railway man used to go to and was on the committee for many years, I remember going there as a kid for many Christmas parties and then with my gramp for camera club and a pint. They used to have pictures on the wall of Pontypool road.
The sad part is the club has now closed and with it the last part of a very rich railway history in our local area. I've contacted Brains breweries to see if I can have the Pub Sign so we will see what happensimage.jpg

The oily rag is a good name, but that should not be the name of your shed. I know why you are thinking of it and I can understand it, but I think that you can come up with something better. What would it be in Welsh? I don't know, but it may look better and please don't say it's oilyy ragg.

Something like the G.W.R.R.M.A.C.
Oily rag class.

That is,

Great Western Railway, Railway Man's Association Club.
Oily rag class.

Is that any better?

Or
Great Western Railway, Railway Modellers Association Club.
Oily rag class

Yes it's a DJH it's a nice loco, I think the Seven one will be superb it might just need the odd casting changed to ragstone or laurie griffin, I bought some ragstone axle box covers for a seven Duke of Gloucester when I get round to it and they are sublime.

Next job is to stick all the templot plans together so I know where I can put all the cross members. I've waited for this for a long time

I've fitted a missing ladder to the bracket signal and daubed a bit of white on the back of the "ring" as I was advised they were white on the back too...

It'll have the same set up for the shutters (just one working!) and also be manually operated.
