Fabulous inspirational work Geoff!
Best,
Neil.
Thank you Neil that is very kind of you.

5807 was captured on film this morning passing over the crossing with some empty wagons.

The scene is somewhat different now the Limekiln siding has been lifted, the view over the crossing gate, with the goods yard in the distance is one of my favourites.

Someone is going to be in trouble about the missing headlamp,

At least the guard has done his job correctly and fitted a tail lamp!

Good luck!
Looking at those images it was an inspired move that - lifting the limekiln siding.
Thanks Tony, I'm watching the clock as squeaky bum time approaches :D

lifting the siding was one of my better ideas, most are disasters.

Well I hope that they give you one that fits! Good luck.
Thanks Simon, I'm minded to wear the gown back to front for a change :p

Another great shot, Thank You (you can admit that these are real photo's, I won't tell anyone honest)

I have always had a leaning to everything Midland, and to do 7mm justice, you need a lot of space, Bleddfa Road completely blows that view out of the water, it's a functioning work of Art.

Bank holiday rail tour heading back to civilisation, or perhaps it's a ramblers special?

I can't make my mind up between keeping the 122 or AEC railcar.

Well, I'm pleased to say that my op. went well and I arrived home on Friday with everything still intact. Still rather sore and under strict instructions to take things easy :)). So to pass the time I've been putting the finishing touches to a Slater's RCH side and end door 7 plank wagon, and made a start on a Slater's (Coopercraft) ex GWR 02 general merchandise wagon. I believe the brake gear supplied with the 02 kit is incorrect, so I'm modelling one of the wagons fitted with Morton brakes using Bill Bedford etches. Not sure if I will fit a tarpaulin rail as most had been removed by the 1950's. The 7 plank also uses etched brake gear, not because I'm trying to be clever, but because I used the original kit components on another project. In both cases I'm working from photos. The 7 plank just needs weathering now, and I hope to complete the 02 brake gear later this week.

Matron is now on my case as it's time for my meds., so I'll leave you all in peace.

Glad to hear your OK.

Thanks Alan.
Glad to hear the good news, Now just do as you have been told!

Kind regards

Mike

Thanks Mike, don't worry I'll behave myself as usual and do as I'm told :)

Good to hear, everything went well, take care, both railcars look good, the AEC just looks more at home.

Gary
Cheers Gary, I agree with you about the AEC, perhaps it's time to weather the model and move the 122 on..

Good evening Geoff,

Have just enjoyed reading your latest posts, and your layout is a work of art.. One question I have been meaning to ask you for a while now, what is your “ flock box “ ? Can you please elaborate .

All the best,
Martyn.
