AHHH so when can you give me some kind of price and availability as to your Jedi skills to be able to come and examine the empty space that I would like filling

Hi Cynric

Looking at the bank and model in your post, the ballustrading does not look far out to me. It is pretty substantial, almost too much on the real thing, and the model reflects that. The bank is pretty much at full height is it not? To keep the proportion, I would have thought the ballustrade should be too, even if we have knocked a bay off the length of the building.

Sleep on it!

Having slept on it, I have decided to take 3.5 mm off and i think it looks better proportioned, although I doubt anybody would ever notice:)

Having compared your model with the photos of the original, I can't help but notice that the 'open' part of the balustrading should be the same width as the window recess below. It appears that your opening is narrower which may be influencing the 'look' of the whole thing.

Well spotted  the file will be amended accordingly :)

Not quite for the laser :)) but a job I'm working on - a 17ft x 10 ft shed based on Lambourn signal box, ideal for you gardeners :) I'm sure the original didn't cost as much to build, the quotes for the windows are eye watering

There was a certain inevitability to this :)) would look spiffing at Wenbridge :)

Are there any experts in GWR signalling equipment out there?

And there was me thinking you were building yourself a proper man shed for your garden:))

.... presumably those pics are in 7mm scale?

Nooo, the structure is for the garden... the wagon is 12" to 1' scale ;)

I like the results which you show us....

Fancy a go at West Coast Signal cabin/level crossing monitoring box like this oneMisc 114.jpgS8300160.JPGS8300187.JPG

I know the pictures are not very clear but they are the only ones I have, as alas the structure is no more, it has ceased to be, it has fell off it's perch, it has breathed it's last breath. OK so they demolished it
