Just for a laugh

I think it's this, going from the number. The 1082.01 was an Austrian electric locomotive for operation with 15 kV catenary voltage at 16 2 ⁄ 3  Hertz, built in 1931. It was equipped with a rotating phase converter and DC traction motors.
From this page.
It's probably got flux capacitors as well.

Wooden go…
I refer the Honorable Gentleman to the construction in this thread using processed wood products:

A Happy Christmas to all Thunderers.

Thanks Bill,

I did reflect on @michael mott ’s thread, but I was having a clear up, and throwing the MDF Manor chassis away, (see my workbench for its replacement) and I wanted to mark its passing, and frankly, it was simply too good an opportunity (and too bad a pun) to miss.

I did seriously consider putting a motor & pick-ups in the MDF chassis, and I’m sure it would have been entirely fine, at least for a while. What I didn’t fancy doing was laser-cutting a bogie to suit! (Or indeed full working Stephenson’s motion made from something improbable!)

all the best, Merry Christmas!
Simon
