I think minefield sums it up nicely!

I suppose the soon to be reintroduced MOK MN is the only kit that will provide a decent basis for an air-smoothed MN. But I don't think I could justify not using all the rebuilt body etchings/castings.

Sadly not, the rebuilt engines have quite a few differences down below due to the rebuild program, I've not checked in detail but the external valve gear and associated brackets are one change and cylinder tops etc, there may well be other changes too.

I suppose it just depends on how accurate you want to be or how far you want to go.

I believe the owners of 35011, General Steam Navigation, are intending to un-rebuild it, so a similar process in 7 mm scale should be possible. Probably a bit of a waste of what I expect to be an excellent MOK re-built (modified, technically) kit.
