Now we are home and the layout has been returned to its store. Here are a few of the trainset taken today.

On the whole the show went well for us with the layout and operators both performing better than expected.

It attracted much comment too. Including many who recognised some of the buildings and details.

Has anyone from GOG asked you to attend a show with this layout . If you were at Guildex this year that would possibly persuade me to go and it's a long flight , 20 plus hours .
The attention to detail and the atmosphere is truly gobsmacking
We were approached by someone from Guildex (amongst many enquiries for details of the layout) when we were at Pontefract. Not heard anything back as of yet, But it may well be that the layout does have the opportunity to attend a Guildex event in the next year or two.
That said, although the layout (and operators) performed well at the show. It isn't actually anything like complete. We have taken the decision not to accept any more shows for this year and take the time to finish the outstanding locos stock and details. Plus, we are also on with a second playroom for the group to work in.

Understand where you are on this, but have been pestering the Folkestone club to get in touch!

The prototype of what we hope will be the next loco to join the layouts fleet. Seen here shunting in the goods yard at Bridlington Station in 1968.

Is this a crop of a photo? I'm more taken by the two coaches on the right parked on Station Approach.

The livery looks like Boddy's of Bridlington, United Automobile Services (which also served North Yorkshire) or Yorkshire Woollen District.

I've re-read the building of Millicent Street a couple of times now, and please feel free to call me 'thick' but I can't see any reference to the point work on the layout, you do mention the pain track (Peco) when describing the weathering, Is it handmade, or all Peco, the running was superb.
