You can normally get the BR Fleet Survey pretty cheaply S/H on Amazon - in fact there are numerous copies of 11 for about £7 (incl P&P).

Cheers, Mike

Well I bit the bullet today and started the windows and doors

The score line behind the driving cab was put there to stop the brittle plastic from the Big Bigs breaking into the cab. I have found a few drawbacks with doing this the way I have, the No1 problem being the brittle plastic breaking and pulling off grey primer around the windows, hence the filler, the second problem being the super glued overlap holding the cab on temporarily just happened to be in the small drop down window :headbang: I also marked the large body side windows out as these are the same as a Mk1, I bought a set from Shawn at Kettering. the other side is for tomorrow:'( .

Time to bore you again the first and second pictures are of my new peg board043.JPG

Third picture is of the cut the dremmel makes to aid me keeping the lines straight
045.JPG046.JPG048.JPG
Above realising my mistake I drilled the holes first then used the dremmel

Another cruel close up but please note that this is a very slow process and the bloody plastic keeps breaking. There is probably more epoxy on this than plastic now.It will have a coat of filler added to the top and the windows will be formed into it, as this is the pattern for the moulding it will have to be near enough so you just file a slither off and fit the etches
More progress tomorrow (hopefully)

You know when you get one of those days when you just can't put your finger in something well I had one yesterday and MTH helped me sort it today. I was told never to trust drawings well here's the reason why, they are wrong. I have double checked and triple checked and was sure the coach I was doing was the Driving trailer composite, then I studied the pictures and came up with the idea the drawing was labelled wrong, then I looked again and again and again ,spoke to MTH and realised the whole drawing is wrong GGGGGGRRRRRRR there are only 4 doors (not including the drivers door) on the comp and 5 on the Std driving trailer the 5th door on the comp is in fact a full size body window. I am so angry but have started to sort it.photo.JPG

I know how you feel Ian.;)

I cut n shut all 9 pieces for the Mk2b FK , put all the spacings in , glued all the pieces , filled them all and even started to sand down the filler........... to then realise the whole coach wasnt long enough:headbang:.

So i had to re-do ( working out the spacings again and glue it all back together ). At the moment i have'nt even re-glued one end yet. But one end plus 7 main windows are all glued , filled and sanded so im getting there.

Stay positive mate and as Jordan says you will have a unique EMU:thumbs:
