I wonder if this is doable in EM, not that it would haul much, unless machined out of a suitably heavy solid block of metal

Carved from a solid lump of depleted plutonium might be better....

As my machine tools consist of a Unimat 1 plastic/aluminium lathe and a minicraft drill with a vertical drill stand I think I'll stick with the machine from solid method
