Okay, Confused of Dudley wishes to ask a question....

I've seen it written that it's a nine-signal gantry; I have seen the pic of 9 servos, and the one of 9 levers...
I can only count 8 signals on the gantry, though....

Question: what have I missed?
(ducks for cover, waits for floodgates to open, unleashing many, many OT suggestions from those who consider themselves a Wit around here....

well, at least a half.... )

Do not worry Jordan... just think about what might happen when Heyside starts commissioning the gantry. You can just imagine the banter....

"Richard, the "bl**dy" distant is stuck, the servo moves and the arm stays still" .

Nah, it's more like 'Tony, I'm pressing the button on the control panel, and nothing's happening'.

Anwyay, what's wrong with fixed distants?:)

Anyway, what's wrong with fixed slotted distants?

Nothing... I was thinking more along the lines of a forgetful signalman who has pulled for the distand whilst the home is at danger.

I'd of thought that'd not be possible, interlocking should prevent such an event, my understanding of fixed distants are that you will almost always be required to stop at the next signal.

Just a tiny diversion.....

Occasionally, I do wave my cheque book around, on the 'life's too short principle'. This is the result of my latest wafting.

Is this a bit of retail therapy to treat the January work commitment.?:):):)

They look too nice to have any grime applied, so are we talking just a waft of brake dust to be added .

That reminds me I have still to finish my pair off.

Hi Martyn,

They do need some weathering, though the finish is excellent. I don't want them all the same, but they're too nice to be really filthy. They were built by Michelle Davidson (EmDee works)

Richard :)

Have any modifications been done to the chassis?
Hi Phill,

I don't know! They don't arrive at Heyside Towers until tomorrow. I'll have a look and let you know.

If they are from Michelle you will not be disappointed, I have seen some of her work before and it is first class, she is a very talented modeller.

If I remember rightly it was Michelle who built the tankers that actually adorn the front of Mr White's boxes ;), and I totally agree anything more than a light dusting from the airbrush would be sacrilege.

Regards,

Martyn.
