I'm in the fortunate position of having a decent sized desk to work from - even if I do only actually have access to about a 10"x8" rectangle of it most of the time, so I'm afraid not. If I were still working on the metaphorical dining room table I'd definitely be up for one though.

I’ve been looking for drawings for the Southern Concrete Buildings and at last I acquired said plans for Southern Railway Concrete Tool Store and PW hut.
So hot off the drawing board and laser today the Tool Store. I’ll get this painted in due course by @Peter Insole

A bit of paint. I was given a tip to use a suede paint for the concrete. I think it’s worked well.

Ok, so no special finish, just rattle can for the concrete and Humbrol green.

Trying the concrete finish on a Southern Footbridge kit.
Need several light coats to gradually build up the finish, so I think a few more coats to go at this stage.

I keep being asked if I’ll do the 7mm kits in the smaller scales. At the Doncaster Guild 0 Show last weekend I took an order for a 4mm version of the popular LNER PW hut.
Several failed attempts later and having the opportunity to model kits in the garden while we have the nice weather...
here is the first kit built up and covered with a coat of concrete.

The SR footbridge looks good and the suede colour looks about right for pre-war concrete.
Mmmm tempted to acquire one to build and weather.... no layout to put it on though.

Not my scale but interesting to see how it goes. Is it still all MDF construction or are you using a mixture of MDF and card/mountboard?
I've just got some oiled manilla card to experiment with. It cuts very cleanly with little scorching.
