Whatever the reasons it can't have been an easy decision to make so I hope you can take all the positives from the legacy you've created. It's certainly paved the way for what is possible with laser cutting and encouraged many to have a go.

Wishing you and your family all the best for the future.

That is bad news. I trust that you will keep us informed of your project work. I always keep a lookout at what you are doing just to see what is possible with a laser cutter.

It was your work which inspired and started me on my 0 gauge journey. It's going to be a while before others get even close to the standards that you have achieved.
    Best wishes for the future

Well the trusty HPC has moved to a fresh home and fellow thunderer and I hope to see the work it will produce pop up on WT in the future AAB7A7E7-5EB4-4BE6-990E-9E0118D43137.jpeg

It was with a sad heart to see it go but onwards and upwards. So the new laser finally installed. A little earlier than I’d planned but the garage cum workshop will have to be drylined around it.

With my mojo slowly coming back and patience wearing thin for some of my customers it was time to put the new machine to work with an outstanding commission.

This will be built and painted by Martyn Welch. I’ll be looking forward to seeing those build pictures.

One of my projects needed fencing and I couldn’t find what I wanted and I should make my own anyway. So with a little thought on how I can make long stretches of fencing easily and accurately I’ve come up with a plan that incorporates a disposable jig.

Yes, I and a few others helped to push it into it's new home, we thought it was an indoor barbecue :D:p

    Hi Phil

I'm guessing the new laser cutter has a larger cutting capacity than the old one? What's the maximum size you can accommodate please?

Something was toasting nicely on it yesterday Col!

Here is a pic of the team taking it the long, and only way round:

In retrospect, it might have been an idea to use a bier of some sort...?

Perhaps a brandy or two would have been preferred at the time though?!!!

Very neat way of incorporating the jig into the fret. Are you making this available commercially?

Yes. Packs of 6 for £7.50. That’s about 60 scale feet.

Think I need about 2 metres worth of the LSWR fencing, will there be gates etc?

I can do gates. Have you got a picture and I’ll match up. I’ll have look to see if I have drawings for gates. Not sure I have other than generic types.

Thanks John. It just makes it easier to build up than the jigs I’ve seen others use.
