Tin tabernacles!
Found this while searching for Boulton & Paul of Norwich who produced loads of corrugated iron kit buildings, chapels included (a while back I found an excellent review of their buildings but as usual didn’t bookmark it and can’t locate it now):

Back on page 30 I started to draw up a crossing cottage. @Peter Insole and I went to visit and had a enjoyable day photographing Frinton Level Crossing Cottage and we even went inside and photographed the interior.

Time moved on and I never completed the project and it was on the back burner until a fellow WT'er waved money at me to supply a kit.

There a several variations of the same type across East Anglia, mainly Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Essex. I don't know of any in Suffolk but I would be pleased to be proved wrong. They were simple affairs with just four rooms and all the facilities were in a separate building. All the examples had a distinctive brick course at the roof line. Other types of simple decoration include blind windows and a peculiar vertical brick detail.

Lovely work. I don't know if it is a drug or a virus, but I discovered that making up wood laser cut buildings was a hobby in it's own right...

I've just been passed by @Crab and Winkle some additional pictures showing the little crossing keepers cottage adapted to be a station.

They are too good not to model!

It is. Kitchen maybe? In this configuration the sitting room is the ticket office. So I assume the kitchen is now the living room and the kitchen is in the extension?

Enforced watching of Phantom of the Opera this evening presented me with the opportunity to spend some time with my own workbench on my lap.

So a pile of bits ..,

Transformed to a nice pile of pallets.

The CHEP GKN pallets were washed over with a blue acrylic paint. I’ve a few more to do for my planned diorama.

That's quite brilliant! Now I think about it, there's a multitude of different details on pallets. There's a book in there for somebody...
