Not seen one of them before. Looks like a useful bit of kit.

Or worse still, unable to order at all. I've recently tried to order from fohrmann.com but they won't ship to the UK.Problem with ordering from the EU these days is that you can end up with a bill and having to pay tax on your doorstep before the packet is handed over. RP Tools are available in the UK - a quick Google found Scale Model Shop.
Does it make rivets or is it a punch for making dummy rivet heads? The prototype water tank rather inconveniently features many rivets, which meant I had to break out the RP Toolz Rivets Maker in an effort to represent these in model form.
0.7 mm is about as small as I could go in order to preserve my sanity!

It punches the rivets clean out of Plastikard. So you're left with a tray of tiny little punchings which you then glue onto your model, one at a time. Sounds tedious, but it's not actually too bad. It's almost therapeutic! Punching them out is a bit boring though. They do different shapes tools too.Does it make rivets or is it a punch for making dummy rivet heads?

I shall see if I can find a more basic seat in my spares box. Not sure if I'll be successful though, so the 'luxury' seat might have to stay. That crane seat is way smarter than that of any premium heavy truck of the period!
Our crawler draglines of the 1960s had something more akin to a budget Harley Davidson job - a pan seat on a tubular post with an inch of padding!

I did wonder about that.Looking at the G.A. of the crane it looks as if the crane operator might have stood up facing the centreline of the crane as the levers look to be orientated that way - might explain the relatively tall cab.
