Leaving the southern for a moment and back to the GWR we have Didcot lifting shop well underway.



Going to improve the rivet detail on the trusses. I don’t like just marked circles, proper rivets much better

At intentio towers we’ve been eating all the Christmas nibbles and we’ve ended up with these empty containers,



I’m wondering how to turn them into this.,




What do thunders think? Doable?

I reckon they are perfect for the purpose. But why label a storage tank "Empty Storage Tank"? That's tantamount to "Please Ignore This Notice".

And is that painted out when it's full?

No, it’s a tank full of empty, so you’ve got something to put in your beer bottles when you take the beer out.

That's very nice. Little touches make all the difference. +1 for domed hex bolts too. Annoying when you can't use them on odd threads like the modular sockets though isn't it!

Not at all - get them sent direct to us, we'll eat them and send you the empty containers.

We come at this from completely the opposite angle, using industrial containers for food - these are useful for soup:

Can’t really see them here which kinda means we probably don’t need them. The trusses are strong but obviously won’t support much weight of a person leaning on them…

Over the holiday Graham and I made a start on our modern engine shed as I quite fancy one for a backdrop for photography of my locos.

Pits and first framework made.



I really wish I had painted the walls before I attached the steel beam representation. It’s going to be a much more difficult job now.



I’ve still got a chance to do the exterior side.





Couldn’t help a loco picture though.
