Visited Sudbury S7 club today and checked on Pete's progress of the building. He said he had a surprise for me. He did, he has made it so the door is hinged. Minuscule hinges that work. Just need a working door handle next

Just needs a mortar wash to fill the gaps and a bit more weathering and it will be finished unless Pete has ideas of making the windows opening.

Final Prototype build of Diesel Shed to iron out some of the snags found in building up first prototype.
Also glazing is frosted now as the original would have been.

Pete came over today and persuaded me to update the GCR hut and in return he has started to paint the new hut.

While Pete has been painting I've been thinking about the next small building. So while the sun was shining yesterday Pete and I went to survey a LNER P/way hut local to Bury St Edmunds. [disclaimer mode/on] Note we had permission and I don't encourage anyone to trespass on the railway [disclaimer mode/off]
Quite productive and managed to get the first draft model off yesterday evening;

Just noticed that its missing a window ledge and I can see a couple of tweaks that need doing.
Shorten the undercuts on the roof so that they are not visible at the ends.
Roof needs a bit more work along with Chimney
The window design is similar to the one surveyed but I think I will alter this to six pane style that I often see.

Old oak approaches fast nearing completion so I took the opportunity to get some pics in the sun which is a difficult thing to do in August!!
