A bit busy playing catch up and a job has finally finished that required a fiddle yard. I had been thinking about a cassette system that utilises my fiddle yard time savers. Just needs C&L or Peco Bullhead rail to complete. So here we are;
Track centres are 84mm so shouldn't be too difficult to add to existing layouts.
The small part on the right is the layout side of the cassette system.

I’ve have this rather interesting little building commission on my workbench. A railway weighbridge office for a small quarry on the Teign Valley railway. I been procrastinating a little as it was rather a challenge on how to laser the curved brick corners.

I’m off on a customer visit for a couple days to catch on progress and measure up for the next phase but couldn’t resist taking some black and white pictures.

This is one of my old kits of a small station building. @Peter Insole and I had an enjoyable day out measuring up the prototype at Cressing a few years back.
For whatever reason these kits didn’t sell so well as expected and I had three ir four left hanging around so I passed one to another friend to have a go at painting up.
They sent me some update pictures today and I’ll really pleased how it’s coming along.
I also do modular platform sections and Brian is painting a LNER style concrete section up for the small station. Not strictly accurate but similar are all over East Anglia so it definitely could have been.
If anyone is interested, I’ve couple of these kits left and will give any WTer a £10 discount to sell through the last of the batch.
I’ve a number of GWR stations on back order so obviously the market favours GWR but I’ve a couple more GER styles of station going together including the iconic 1865 style in both 4 and 7mm scale.
Anyway, onwards and upwards…

Morning Phil, the Cressing station building looks good painted up.
Regarding disappointing sales, I wonder if that's because it looks like an ancillary building (waiting room) rather than the typical stand-alone station building beloved by modellers. Perhaps a bit too mundane?

I know! I used this prototype just because it was small and a little different. Oh well, back to GWR and big stations.

That was indeed a happy day Phil, and the result looks superb !
I am so sorry that I led you astray with my impractical enthusiasm for anything peculiar, different or just plainly East Anglian!
My pathological distrust, or even outright distaste for anything that might be considered remotely "popular", let alone "commercial" is something of an historical psychosis that I am rather ashamed of (though clearly not often enough?) when it causes undeserved grief to others.
You are doing a grand job, and I continue to be hugely impressed by all your achievements !

I don't think I needed your encouragement, I was just as keen for East Anglian models. A giant untapped market I predicted! Anyway, we need to sort some more fact finding missions when health, rules etc. allow.
