It's 0.6mm ply. My favoured material for 7mm windows as it scales out about an inch thick. Also takes paint well.

I tried to have a go at square chimney pots that I've seen on some buildings I like.



I think they will look ok with a bit of paint on them. I'll just add that to my Kettering shopping list.

Have you thought about doing the sleepers that have the old chair marks in them as a panel of say ten or fifteen so that they could be used as an old sleeper fence?

I have. It all looks a bit too even when I've lasered some up. Have you got any pictures so I can see so I can capture the variations.

Sleeper based fence panel.

I've cut between the sleepers deep so that they will pull apart easily to enable one to create the random mismatch an aged fence has or leave as is for a newly installed fence.

With weathering and an attack with a knife to age them they may look ok.
